The prices are very reasonable and the service is quick. This is the only restaurant you need for a great meal.

Positiw: eating was excellent. price was reasonable, we spent 45 pounds for two people without drinks. quirky features like the old cake menu still on the wall.... read more Positiw: eating was excellent. price was reasonable, we spent 45 pounds for two people without drinks. quirky features like the old cake menu still on the wall. clean facilities. good menu. good location near stratford high street dlr and stratford international tube. negative: only cash. that is disappointing today and in old. Moreover, it was not very clear and so we came unprepared. the money machine next door did not work so this meant a trek back to the station. there were four employees, but only the owner was allowed to order, access drinks, book and collect money. the other employees were there to make a mess and teller only to clear. this meant service was extremely slow. we waited twenty minutes for a bottle when water and at the time when it arrived, I had got a headache from the thirst. we had to wait until the owner picks up the phone before we could order our food. it took about twenty minutes to arrive. it was good, but at this point I was just hungry and couldn't quite appreciate how good it was. I rated it with four. it could have been much more if the full experience transformed the quality of eating and the fun thema of eating into a restaurant from an old cake shop. I would recommend, but not arrive famished and thirsty!
