The grounds are beautiful. I would strongly suggest one check out the rooms in person before reserving. We stayed in Turret. This room is in the main manor home. The dining area is on the first floor and Turret is on the second. One can hear the kitchen staff through the vents in the room! The room also has a portable air condition unit on the second floor that is extremely loud and distruptive. There are also severa... View all feedback.
I treated my mom to a day at the spa and we had a lovely time! Amanda greeted us the moment we walked through the door and was extremely kind and accommodating! She even walked up to the gift shop to grab me bathing suit options when I realized I forgot mine. She was so attentive and efficient in everything she did, truly making our experience special! The massages and facials we chose were wonderful. All around we had a great spa experience! We did not stay at the property but next trip to the Poconos, we plan to! Hotel highlights: Luxury, Quiet
What a major disappointment! The room was so bad, old, dirty and should be totally remodeled. We could have stayed at a Holiday Inn for a week for the price we were charged for two nights. we had to call 2x to get clean towels. The facials we received was nothing more than the aesthetician just lightly spreading some oil on our faces, actually dripping some in my eye, but there was 0 massage. The couples massage was the only high point of the weekend, the masseuses were both professional and well skilled. Rooms: Horrible! Not anywhere worth the Rooms: 1 Service: 3 Location: 2 Hotel highlights: Quiet
Charming property that is poorly maintained. Lawn was overgrown. Dining patio was crumbling and littered with scraps of past meals. Inside, the ambiance was great until we arrived in our room and found a 30 year old A/C unit that has no auto setting and creates constant noise. Furnishings are a dingy afterthought. Our first dining experience was also our last. My sea bass was a previously frozen plank of perfectly rectangular dried out fish. The appetizer featured bargain brand tortilla chips and an undressed corn, bean and arugula dish. I don 't mind spending $350 on meal for two if it 's exceptional quality, but in this case Chipotle would have been a better choice. Our waiter was intimidating from the beginning. My husband attempted some light humor, to which the waiter abruptly launched into a political tirade. He stormed off in silence when we remarked that the escargot was prepared in an untraditional way. And when we came in tonight and asked how he was, we learned that he is living the dream. We paid a significant sum for this experience, and I 'm sad to say that we wasted that money. Rooms: 1 Service: 1 Location: 4
Beautiful secluded resort for couples. Rooms: Beautiful rooms. We went for our wedding anniversary and stayed in one of the jacuzzi suites. Great view. Nearby activities: N/A Safety: Property seems secure. Walkability: Good hiking and there are a few grocery stores close by in driving distance. Not really close enough to walk to. Food drinks: Breakfast is worth the money for sure. While dinner was good as far as atmosphere. My hubby and I didn’t care for the French cuisine. Some of the menu items were too much for our taste. Noteworthy details: Bring yourself and prepare for relaxation. Take a map for hiking Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Luxury, Great view, Romantic, Quiet

The staff members were very welcoming and took care of all our needs including great recommendations for day trips. Loved Tuesday Jazz and small plates on the outdoor terrace and enjoyed another wonderful meal in their exquisite dining room. Breakfasts were a treat! This is truly a hidden gem in the Poconos. Looking forward to coming back in the fall season as the colors are bursting around the French Manor.
