The Cat Stop - Feedback
Reviews
Was John Hayne at The Cat Stop a mag?
We were really pleased to have the chance to stop at Norris Point. Our boat tour at Gros Morne was unfortunately canceled, so we decided to make the best of it by enjoying the scenery and having a nice lunch. The service was reasonable, and the food was good. It's such a lovely spot to dine outdoors! View all feedback.

We visited and ordered chowder. Now, I know chowder. I make chowder. This was downright barely edible. There is so much stabilizer used in mass-produced products that it had a clumpy, glue like consistency. There was tiny salad shrimp and only half a scallop. It was mostly made up with tiny cubes of potatoes. Microwaved. Almost 17.00. Outrageous. I am a Newfoundlander and a hobby cook. It is a dish that takes very little effort to make homemade. Do better.
This is a fantastic place to relax by the water while enjoying great music. The beer selection is also impressive.

During our lunch visit with our toddler in August, there were three servers on duty. Two of them appeared to be related, one older and one younger. I think one of them might have been named Nikita. Unfortunately, the behavior between these two ladies was incredibly unprofessional; they were openly rude to each other. I have never witnessed such disrespect and bullying towards a colleague in any restaurant I've ever visited. At one point, the younger server even threw a wet rag at the older one and told her to "go clean the table," mocking her and making comments once she left the room. It made us feel very uncomfortable, and we just wanted to leave. I felt terrible for the other server, and I really hope she decides to quit.
