We visited on a Sunday and there were bowls of roast potatoes available for us to snack on at the bar. We will definitely be coming back.

There were three real ales on... read more I visited the pub last Tuesday and it was full of incredibly friendly people, even though it was early evening just after opening. There were three real ales on tap, all served directly from the barrel at the bar. They were all in excellent condition and had distinct flavors. I couldn't resist trying all three. The pub has a regular turnover of unique beers, and these three were ones I had never tasted before. I had a chat with the owners who were both very knowledgeable. It's a fantastic venue and I will definitely return when I'm next in Newent, hopefully soon.
