The Dockyard Hotel - Newcastle

We had a dinner here on a Friday night and ordered pork belly, the damper and a pizza. All were very enjoyable and arrived quickly, as well as hot and fresh. The crowd was a mixed group of mums with bubs, young singles and an office party. Definitely in the pub category as you had to go and order/pay at the counter but that did not detract from the experience. The only negative was that, to be able to enjoy the view of the harbour, you had to sit on high bar stools, whereas we prefer ordinary seating (maybe we're just getting old!).

I had walked past this restaurant so many times but didn't actually know where it was I have heard good things about it so I needed to try it out. My friend and I decided to go there for dinner on a Saturday I was very lucky to get there early enough to get a table. They had quite a lot of seating available inside and outside it was very busy but so if you want to choose where to sit or even have a chance to sit come early. It is in a great location near the water, parking close by and it is also great for events e.g. birthday parties. It was a very quick table service and the food was delicious. I am already thinking about when I'm going back next.

Hubby and I ate here for lunch with friends, typical burgers and pub food, good beer on tap. very friendly staff.; but very noisy with other guest, we ended up leaving as they were so noisy. Very hot outside if the sun is out. Prices are good.

My partner and i had the steak lunch special. $15 was awesome the sauce is to die for. I had diane and my partner had mushroom, both were winners. Will be back soon

We had a lovely lunch ordered the seafood platter delicious ???? unfortunately no prawns ???? staff were obliging and friendly.
