We have been coming here for a few years now and it is by far our favourite place to enjoy Indian. The family that run this are always so lovely and the food is ALWAYS delicious and consistent in flavour and quality. Great for younger kids as well with plenty of milder dishes to choose from. Highly recommend this to anyone wanting authentic Indian flavours and a relaxed atmosphere. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Surtaj Indian Restaurant:
unfortunately our visit was very disappointing. We dined here last night with a friend and eagerly awaited a tasty meal. Service was slow (restaurant was not full)and when meal did arrive our couple of choices seemed dry and over cooked. Hosts were friendly enough but...obviously more staff are needed for a Saturday night. My usual choice for a delicious Indian meal is Ghandhas in Lambton. Sadly I would not recommend... Pretty good Indian food here but I wasn't thrilled with the serviceThe tikka masala was also a much different more spicy flavor than I was used to.

Ate at Surtaj Indian Restaurant last night. What a wonderful family run business. Food was fantastic! Service, tradition, delightful. It is even BYO wine. If you have never eater there or ate there years ago it is worth finding and rediscovering. Same family, same décor it really is a wonderful night out. Seriously put it on your eating out place at least once per month. They also do take out. Same great quality.
