Was Anonym at Rascal Newcastle a mag?
Husband and I have visited Rascal twice and both times the place has been flat out packed (very small establishment) so be prepared for that but they are really fast with takeaways so just grab it to go! Staff are always super friendly, burgers are yummy but are really heavy and make you feel absolutely stuffed so stuffed you need to roll home! Husband and I more see them as a 'occasional' burger joint as they are li... View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Rascal Newcastle:
Been here a couple of times. Worst restaurant ever! Staff un interested. Can't have a drink without ordering food. Bar staff blatantly rude about that fact! Just because we are out on a weekend doesn't mean we are all drunk & it's ok to be blatantly RUDE. View all feedback.

Yummo! I couldn’t decide between wings or a burger so I had to settle with both. Equally delicious; the chicken was piping hot, juicy and tender. The burger was loaded and had the right balance between toasted bun, succulent meat and fresh veggies.
Very tasty burger! The service was friendly and fast and I loved the seasoning on the fries. Decor was retro and gave old school diner vibes. I will be back!
Went here last week and will definitely come back should I visit Newcastle. The service was amazing, staff were courteous and highly considerate of my group's halal requirement. I had ordered the jerk chicken burger and the tots. Burger was delectable however it contained a few pieces of tomato which wasn't stated in the menu. The tots had all been fried to the point of losing the satisfying fluffy potato centers and were a bit too salty for my taste but I can't complain about the crunch :

Gluten free fried chicken! Separate fryers and can make whole menu gluten free in dedicated areas. Food was delicious, staff friendly, definitely coming again
As a zöliakie I felt safe here. prefer the dirty rascal over the rascal burger. chicken options also beautiful. fries a bit too salty I will ask for less next time. only disappointed there is no gf dessert.

The burgers, fried chicken, and chips at this restaurant are delicious! Nearly the entire menu is gluten-free. I have been here three times and each time, the staff were extremely knowledgeable about coeliac disease and made sure I felt comfortable. The service is excellent and you can even enjoy a tasty alcoholic beverage.
I felt secure dining here as a person with celiac disease. I recommend the Dirty Rascal over the Rascal Burger. The chicken options were also enjoyable. The fries were a bit too salty for my taste, so I will ask for less salt next time. I was disappointed that there were no gluten-free dessert options available.

Had the Varmi Burger too salty, but still good. Hot chips were great with a kind of herby aroma and they were crispy. And a cedar. Thought it was really good and worth the money, about $30 all up. Also neat outdoor seats.
I am a great fan of their vegan sauces gems, although they are hard to go to the salt some may not love. To get from most to the least preferred burgers I rank thr Vegan SFM as best, followed by the Vegan Rascal, the Varmy and finally the Vegan Cheeseburger. They also have a Vegan Mac N cheese, which at best was very average. Open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. (approved what the website says).
Delicious burgers, cozy furnishings in Newcastle. The staff is friendly and accomodating. We had burgers with the children in the tow. They all had the Cheeseburgers and Chips. They enjoyed them very much. The facility is edgy, with an 80’s 90’s feeling on the topic. Burger names reflect this. Recommended steps, enter, order, the IPA beers are also great, take a table and THEN miracles around the joint and look at some of the humorous photos spells written on the walls, unless you are a person who is not insulted by non-PC instructions, the jokes will be far above your head. My wife and I had a lot of bangs about it. They also have a burger of the week mth with a poster representing past burgers and their names. That was very funny, too, but you just had to be there. Loved the burgers and the beer, keep the good work you have Rascals!
Yummo! I couldn't decide between wings or a burger so I had to settle with both. Also delicious; the chicken was sharp, juicy and tender. The burger was loaded and had the right balance between roasted bungalow, juicy meat and fresh vegetables.
Seriously, so yum! Non greasy, tasty, and fresh burgers, fried chicken and Mac and cheese. Perfectly made, can’t fault any of it. Sometimes after a meal like this you feel gross, but the freshness and quality of this meal has me wanting more. I’ll definitely be returning. Prices are very reasonable we spent about $120 for 4 adults and a child and we all left very satisfied.
