Was Anonym at Rascal Newcastle a mag?
Husband and I have visited Rascal twice and both times the place has been flat out packed (very small establishment) so be prepared for that but they are really fast with takeaways so just grab it to go! Staff are always super friendly, burgers are yummy but are really heavy and make you feel absolutely stuffed so stuffed you need to roll home! What Anonym dislikes about Rascal Newcastle:
Been here a couple of times. Worst restaurant ever! Staff un interested. Can't have a drink without ordering food. Bar staff blatantly rude about that fact! Just because we are out on a weekend doesn't mean we are all drunk & it's ok to be blatantly RUDE. View all feedback.

There's nothing special about the burgers. Very less variety, Deep fried, nothing great about the taste, not worth the cost, hard to find a park on a busy fri/sat night. Mind you, they do not take bookings - another down side.Would prefer Grill'd or Nandos over Rascal. Adding coleslaw to a KFC Burger can make a burger better than Rascal's.Not at all impressed.
This burger place can produce the goods. I love that they have a simple menu but a burger of the week always make for a tough choice. Prices are more then reasonable considering overpriced burgers are a thing now. Service is quick for both take away and dining in and I love that they accept phone orders. A shift workers dream!!! This is a must no matter when your in Newcastle!! Your crazy if you don't
I really enjoyed my meal. Unique offerings and a good range for all palates. Loved the JERK burger - a winner winner

As a zöliakie I felt safe here. prefer the dirty rascal over the rascal burger. chicken options also beautiful. fries a bit too salty I will ask for less next time. only disappointed there is no gf dessert.

Yummo! I couldn’t decide between wings or a burger so I had to settle with both. Equally delicious; the chicken was piping hot, juicy and tender. The burger was loaded and had the right balance between toasted bun, succulent meat and fresh veggies.
Very tasty burger! The service was friendly and fast and I loved the seasoning on the fries. Decor was retro and gave old school diner vibes. I will be back!
The dirty rascal is a fantastic classic American cheeseburger! It was juicy and fresh. Thick cut fries were on point! Major grungy vibes! Dope spot
Went here last week and will definitely come back should I visit Newcastle. The service was amazing, staff were courteous and highly considerate of my group's halal requirement. I had ordered the jerk chicken burger and the tots. Burger was delectable however it contained a few pieces of tomato which wasn't stated in the menu. The tots had all been fried to the point of losing the satisfying fluffy potato centers and were a bit too salty for my taste but I can't complain about the crunch :

The burgers, fried chicken, and chips at this restaurant are delicious! Nearly the entire menu is gluten-free. I have been here three times and each time, the staff were extremely knowledgeable about coeliac disease and made sure I felt comfortable. The service is excellent and you can even enjoy a tasty alcoholic beverage.
I felt secure dining here as a person with celiac disease. I recommend the Dirty Rascal over the Rascal Burger. The chicken options were also enjoyable. The fries were a bit too salty for my taste, so I will ask for less salt next time. I was disappointed that there were no gluten-free dessert options available.
