Had a share plat... read more We have been dropping into Oma's occasionally just for desert. Their baked gluten free cheesecake is amazing. Finally decided to go for dinner. Had a share plate with the pork knuckle. I am celiac and the staff understood and accommodated well. Explained what was and was not GF and the sausages were GF. The pork steak was stunning and the knuckle was good. Only issue I had was that there was too much food and that some carrots would have been nice. The mashed potato was very well done. Would recommend and will be back.

The thin sliced beef rolled and stuffed with onions, bacon, carrots, and gherkin was perfectly complemented by the creamy mustard sauce. The dish also included potato mash, red cabbage, and a variety of flavors that left me feeling satisfied and warm on a cold day. Oma's Kitchen can be found at the Newcastle City Farmers Market on Sundays, where they offer a tempting selection of desserts. Even without a reservation, we were able to place our order around 8pm and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of both the food and service. We opted for the chef's special, which was delicious, generous enough to serve three people, and reasonably priced. However, the accompanying side dish was just average.
