"The atmosphere here for Sunday dinner is quite pleasant. In Newcastle, there are now plenty of parking options available. While I find many restaurants in the area a bit typical, I was pleasantly surprised by Eight Bungalows. The dumplings had excellent flavor, and the menu featured some delightful choices. I'm also a fan of fried rice, and I thought the prawn fried rice was particularly tasty. I’ll definitely be returning to Eight Bungalows."
We visited this restaurant for a late lunch after 3 PM when the kitchen was theoretically closed, but they kindly kept it open for us. The food was delicious and served quickly, and the staff provided excellent customer service. We will definitely return!
The food was incredible! The noodles were the best I've had in years. I highly recommend trying the dumplings as well. Don't miss out on this place!
Took the in laws here for a Sunday lunch. There are so many dumpling places around Newcastle now. I find many of these places a bit ordinary. However I was pleasantly surprised with Eight Buns. The dumplings had really good flavour and the menu had some really nice options. I love a good fried rice as well and I thought the Prawn fried rice was really good. I'll definitely come back to Eight buns.
Had lunch here with a friend and while the food was nice, the waiter appeared to be ill, with coughing, sneezing and other visible symptoms. When asked he blamed it on an allergy to cats. Even if true it didn’t seem very hygienic or confidence inspiring for customers for him to be there with those symptoms without at least a mask on.
