Cold Rock - Newcastle

We went to Cold Rock for desert and it was very tasty. The kids loved it, especially watching them "smash" Caramellow bears and smarties through the ice cream. Plenty of flavours and additions to chose from.

Thought I was getting a quick ice cream for my son. I didn't realise that al the products "smashed in " cost a fortune -beware!! There isn't a price on the additions -so you don't know . Turns out he had a $10 ice cream!!

I was expecting more. I ordered the boysenberry, a flavour I've had elsewhere. It was very smooth and creamy but not a single boysenberry to be found or really even tasted. I found it quite bland and certainly not very berry like.

In amongst the Honeysuckle eateries is Cold Rock. Ice-cream was great. Staff were friendly. It was very expensive.

Um, not sure what's going on here. Went to Cold Rock on Saturday evening and there were a couple of young guys serving. The one who served me picked up my flake with his bare, grubby fingers saying "s'cuse the fingers" - very much like he was handing something to his aunty at his home. I was fairly underwhelmed - no gloves or food handling skills in evidence for anything that I saw. Who in the world is your manager? What appalling training.
