While some diners found the menu confusing and experienced mixed food quality on repeated visits, the overall atmosphere and service were excellent. Patrons can enjoy the laid-back vibe and unique industrial decor, as well as spacious outdoor seating. The pub is a favorite among locals for its diverse menu, including dishes like lobster starters and chicken pie. With friendly service and steadily improving food quality, The Bridge Tavern is a top choice for a casual and enjoyable dining experience in Newcastle. Cheers!.
Good honest pub grub. Great value and delicious. Lovely beers. Great ambience.
Always good food, and a great range of beers, but can sometimes get too busy and noisy for dinner!
We have been here for many doos, receptions birthdays etc. The food has always been very good. The wine is also very good and the prices are extremely good value . The menu also provides a wide ,eclectic and varied selection to suit people with various likes etc. therefore it accommodates many tastes.
Great menu with lots of interesting options. We had lobster starter, crab sandwich and black pudding to start so couldn't finished the chicken pie and beef hash that we had ordered for main! Service was very good with 2 people who worked hard to make sure we had a great lunch.
We visited for a second time as our first was fabulous. Unfortunately the food was not as good this time. My partner ordered the flat iron steak with chips, the steak was ok but the chips were bog standard manufactured whereas before were lovely chunky triple cooked hand cut. My friend and I had the lamb curry which was so salty and the rice was very dry. There was quite a gap between first and main courses so I asked if there was a problem to be told they were just busy. We were however offered a half pint of beer each which I thought was acceptable. It's a shame as we recommended it to our friends who we went with. The pub itself is lovely with great outside space and a terrace. I would drink there as they have a great range of beers but not sure if I would eat again
