Lovely little bar in a nice area of Newcastle with other pubs and bars nearby. Great choice of beers, lovely Xmas atmosphere and fantastic pizza. The staff are very friendly too.
Visited the Newcastle Tap on the evening of Tues 7th Nov, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the Pizza is currently one of the best in Newcastle...Full compliments to the excellent Pizza Chef!! Beers are expensive but are first class. We have enjoyed several great nights out at the Newcastle Tap but the Pizza on this visit was exceptional.
Designed with a ware house industrial in mind , yet it’s a friendly fun pub that’s churning out a fair selection of beers , larger and even a lovely stout. Maybe a bit more expensive than others but Less busy than the crammed locals. Good music system and classic beats soon helps the beers to disappear. Handy stopover from the rail station.
A great selection of beers in this clean quirky bar. Was nice to find somewhere a little less crazy than the local bars We were pleased to see a gluten free beer on tap and the bar staff explained the options in the fridge and gave details about the process at the brewery. Jealous of the non-coeliacs but happy that we had a choice too! Great experience and will be back
My hubby and I recently popped in to Newcastle Tap for a few beers whilst enjoying a night in town. We both enjoyed our drinks a lot. I had the Jericho and my hubby had a stout. We will definitely be back again for food too as it smelled so good.
