Today was our first visit, and we loved it. We got the Assorted Meat sharing platter B, and the Bap with seafood and egg. Both dishes were delicious! Would recommend adding an extra egg on the Bap dish. We had the kitchen staff cook our meal, but you have the option to cook your own me at the table! The staff were lovely, the atmosphere was nice, pleasant music. Would recommend 100%, and we'll definitely be back agai... View all feedback.
What Eidvilė Vacius doesn't like about Mannaza Korean:
Seafood pancake didn't have seafood, quite slim and no value for the price. The naengmyen, cold noodle dish was tasty but the noodles difficult to chew basically I just swallow all and only with 1 small beef cube . The meeyuk guk, seaweed soup was okay , average flavour . Caution : Too much smoke in the environment , smells sticky all over clothes and hair . View all feedback.
Meat platter had meet that wasn't fresh. Smelled and tasted as defrosted meat. Plenty of water came out of it while we were cooking it. Photo attached. Tasted old. Small portion. Salads were seasoned with some poor quality vinegar or dressing. Didn't enjoy any of it. We ordered Aloa Vera and Greipfruit Juices. For some reason I imagined it to be fresh. Juices came in a plastic bottle and a can, preserved and full of sugar. Tables were sticky. Restaurant needs cleaning inside and outside. Smoke extractor didn't work. Place is full of smoke. Staff is very pleasent and fast.
Fresh food served at the table to cook yourself. Extractor fan keeps fumes away. Casual service, can be busy at times.
This restaurant is super accommodating to big groups we came for a uni society trip and weren’t even asked to put a deposit down. The staff and friendly if a little sparse in numbers, and the food is tasty (great pajeon! . They also had a few soju flavours that I’ve not tried before which was nice. A couple of hiccups with items we hadn’t ordered on the bill but nothing that wasn’t remedied quickly. I’ll be back!
We are familiar with Korean cuisine, so we decided to try the sharing meat and vegetable platters for barbecue, as well as the tteokbokki and Japchae at this restaurant. Everything we ordered was delicious, with generous portions of tteokbokki and tender beef in the Japchae. The staff was welcoming, even though we didn't have a reservation on a busy Tuesday evening. The restaurant was well-ventilated, as most tables were cooking their own meat. However, our gas hotplate caught fire, which was quickly resolved by one of the attentive staff members. Despite this incident, the pricing was reasonable, the food was great, and the staff were excellent. We will definitely return when we are in Newcastle next time. One suggestion would be to remove the water fountain near the door, as it made the floor wet and caused damage to the laminate flooring. Thank you.
During a spontaneous visit to Newcastle for restaurant week, we stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant. We opted for the restaurant week menu and were thoroughly impressed with our choices. I enjoyed the omelette and bibimbap, while my companion had the dumplings and Udon noodles. Each dish was generously portioned, flavorful, well-prepared, and served piping hot. Despite the busy Saturday night crowd, the service was outstanding. The staff greeted us warmly and our waiter was attentive and helpful. We look forward to returning to try more dishes from the menu. Overall, the food and service were excellent.
