La Casa Delicatessen

This place has it all - a Spanish deli, tapas restaurant, and vermuteria all in one! The food is fantastic, the vermut is top-notch, and you won't be able to resist picking something up from the deli before you leave.

We stumbled upon this incredible restaurant by chance. We were just browsing the shops when we found it. The staff was amazing and the food was wonderful. My boyfriend, who is French and has Spanish as his second language, had his first proper visit to Newcastle and was completely amazed by the food and the Vermouth. If you have time to sit and relax while watching the world go by, this is the perfect place.

We have dined at La Casa twice this week for tapas. The welcome was warm, with many extra touches and delicious, authentic Spanish tapas. The owners, who are from La Mancha, offer produce from their own cooperative. The deli store next to the Tapas Bar has fantastic items. All of this is set in the beautiful surroundings of the Grainger Market. We highly recommend it!

Located in the Grainger market, La Casa Delicatessen is a really great authentic Spanish tapas bar venue. We dived into some really great tapas ranging from patatas bravas to fish bites, succulent meatballs and fluffy bread with tasty oils and yummy tomato based dipping sauces (AND MUCH MORE) which all tasted amazing! Washed down with a fantastic recommendation of house white wine. ... and then came the churros ! Seriously the best churros I’ve ever had!
