One of the best restaurants we have been to. From first walking in it was impressive. Staff were very friendly and attentive and food was truly delicious and a fantastic wine list also the chance of booking an actual wine tasting night. Very impressed. Will definitely return. View all feedback.
What bill argo doesn't like about Du Vin Bistro Newcastle:
Dined on a Saturday evening around 8pm. Very busy and a reservation is required. Service a bit slow, probably because it was so busy. Friendly waiter. Wine list a bit expensive and disappointed with one of the red wines which was under the Soft and Fruity list but was really heavy and full bodied. Food was very good. The mains had huge portions of meat (too much to manage). Would have prefered smaller portions to all... View all feedback.

Had a lovely meal for Valentines. Great food, service was good even though the restaurant was very busy (which made it a tiny bit on the loud side, but that's to be expected around 14 Feb). Been here before and would go back again.

Excellent food and great value also. Went for valentine 's night meal and ambience was superb. Have been before on none 'occasion ' nights and standard is excellent. Wine choice is v good, even the house merlot is superior to most restaurant 's wine stocks. The valentine set menu looked less good on gazing at others ' plates, small portion sizes, but the priz fixe menu we ordered from was excellent. Shared chateaubriand and had scallops starter and parfait on sourdough starter- both and all top tasting.
A lovely restaurant, with very good food. We were however placed right by the open kitchen which meant a lot of people passing our table and it got quite hot. I'll try for a different table next time. Service was good, delay on when we wanted to pay but restaurant did seem very busy at that time.
