We call into this cafe quite often after walking through Jesmond Dene from Heaton. our visit is the reward for walking a few miles defeats the object I know but worth it. The lemon meringue pie is to die for with either fresh cream or ice cream. We always get a warm welcome good service from the very friendly helpful staff and walk home feeling like had a real treat. Had brunch here with a friend. My sausage sandwich was okay although the sausages were overcooked (for my taste). Wonderful sourdough bread, though. I had food envy when my friend’s eggs Benedict arrived; they looked wonderful. The best was yet to come, though; if you ever visit, you must, just must, have one of the home made cinnamon buns. This is a lovely little cafe, which I’ve regularly visited since Lockdown 1.0 they’ve got a great take away service it all feels very safe inside! Delicious food a wide range of tasty ‘speciality’ hot drinks, everything from Amaretto Latte to Mint Mocha. Would definitely recommend visiting ideal place to pick up a coffee head for a walk in Jesmond Dene.
Fantastic cater breakfast. great staff that helped me through the menu and my many intolerances/allergics. 10/10 to let her work through my kater, she made me very welcome. additional bonus of teeny tiny milk bottles with their tee also
Love this place! the recently renovated is beautiful and I am happy to say the great atmosphere that has not changed the menu too much. a great place to breakfast, brunch, lunch or even just coffee/tea cake, with portions for larger appetit smaller teller too. many vegetarian/vegan/gluten free options also.
Very friendly service. eat beautiful, good coffee. in which have breakfast, but today only teacake and coffee. beautiful relaxing place to come both inside or outside tables. always good.
Popped in for my breakfast and had one of the best full English’s I can remember! The service was amazing and my server was very attentive and made sure I was taken care of the entire time! The lady, who I assume to be the manager, was very chatty to everyone as well which made the overall environment of the cafe feel comfortable and inviting!
