I had a wonderful tapas-style meal at this restaurant. The gyozas were excellent and the chili beef was really delicious. I will definitely be returning. It was lovely to sit outside on a beautiful summer evening. View all feedback.
What NigelinCheshire doesn't like about The Wheatsheaf Inn:
We booked a table for 4 here for a Saturday night in August. Confirmation received by email. When we arrived the plAce wasn’t that busy but we had to wait for a table to be prepared. Ok no problem. Our order was taken eventually after asking twice for menus and after a long wait the food came which was good. I had frozen whitebait and then a steak which was very good. Was my first and I think my last visit at the beautiful gastro pub on Sunday of the 14th. mai 2017, how could one make a bark meat on Sunday evening so wrong the bark was like gum and the vege of kartoffel had no taste at all, the food was not very hot on all very disappointed the only thing that was nice was the cheese garlic brot so a candy cus the pub was nice I would come for a pub that because of all this shameful eating the
Had a hot party here in the functional room and it was fantastic. the personal was so accommodating before and on the day! whatever we asked about it. super service and Fab staff. would be highly recommended for other functions!
Beautiful old hospitable with fantastic staff and great eating, would recommend
We had our wedding reception lunch here and it was wonderful. we wanted a double pub for 55 people and they really did it well. we were allowed to choose the one we wanted to sit in. they organized a pianist for us and founded a meeting so that we could discuss music. we were allowed to take our own champagne and only pay a cork fee that made the dinge cheaper. we had to cancel our high time and retire a year and were allowed to keep the booking without paying or paying our deposit. we took our own homemade decorations and coworkers have them out as desired. the menu was adapted for us to match our taste, was very diverse and all enjoyed their meal. there were no complaints from our guests. the land is beautiful. we have chosen the venue, because we have always found lunches/meals to be good if we jump in.
We had our day and evening wedding reception at the Wheatsheaf on Saturday 8th October... What an fantastic time we all had. Food was 5*, and the staff went above and beyond the call of duty. Paige was amazing, nothing was too much for her). We stayed over in one of their rooms...Lovely room, breakfast was 5*. I can't recommend the Wheatsheaf enough...thank you for making our wedding day so perfect.
