Quaint. Large tearoom. Nice homely features.Homemade soup tried. Excellent with lots of bread.Individual tea pots with own tea cosy, sweet. (But should be washed regularly looked grubby, probably tea stains, I hope!, lets it down).Lots of nice cakes. Worth a visit. View all feedback.
What Golligosh123 doesn't like about Slater's Village Tearooms:
The smoked meats at this restaurant are fantastic and we really enjoyed the food, which is a refreshing addition to the area. However, the poor condition of the village's toilets could negatively impact the restaurant's ratings. The men's restroom smells terrible and does not match the high quality of the food. Had a meal with friends, menu very good and all 6 were pleased with the meals ordered.Excellent service .Only complaint no draught beer and bottles were a little on the expensive side ,house wine quite good at a reasonable price. This has changed hands and is now an American type steakhouse.
This has recently been refurbished with Texas food we decided to have lunch while we had been visiting the shopping village. Unfortunately, we wanted a light meal but there menu was fantastic what I liked that they are prepared to mix match to whatever you would like on the menu. Which is quite rare these days. They do really good breakfasts or burgers etc. Despite us not having a meal we would like to make a return visit to sample their menu.
Called for first time yesterday and had a burger and fries, apparently the beef is marinated for 12 hours then smoked for 12 hours , absolutely delicious.
You better not have a food allergy if you go there, they have no understanding of gluten free. It's oK as a pub, but food wise leaves a lot to be desired.
This tea room has been going for many years and has always turned out standard but good food. It is not the cheapest but good value, they do breakfast and lunch and are very friendly.
