What User doesn't like about The Newbury Pub The Terrace:
The food was good and very reasonably priced. We visited on a Sunday, so the menu was mainly restricted to roasts, with a couple of alternatives. It was very busy, the downside of that was having to wait 90 minutes for the food to arrive. Additionally, we had to push to be served, otherwise it would have most likely been nearly a 2 hour wait. I think it is under new management/ownership, so hopefully teething problem... View all feedback.
Had a really wonderful Sunday lunch was exceptional, as the hospitality was very well maintained. The house wine was very drinkable a really great meal would definitely go back.
I’ve been looking forward to visiting this lovely place since it re opened and it didn’t disappoint. Wonderful, helpful and efficient staff made the whole experience such a pleasure . I had the Char grilled Rib Eye with chips, red wine jus and long stemmed broccoli Wow! It was amazing I cannot recommend it enough. The deck area upstairs had a lovely laid back ambience and was lovely to relax in on what was a beautiful sunny day. Can’t wait to come back well done to you all and best wishes for a fabulous future
I ate here with a friend over the bank holiday weekend. Service was great, staff were friendly and the food was delicious. I had a veggie burger so rare to find an actual veggie burger that isn't fake meat! My friend had a steak, which he says was cooked exactly as requested!
A great Sunday lunch for my wife and I; drawn in by the prospect of the Platter. We felt the cost of £72 (including service) was well worth the food; coke each, cider, prosecco, as well as the platter and a dessert each. The food was delicious; had to only touch the pork with a knife for it to fall apart and the beef was tender and pink. Roast potatoes were amazing too. Friendly welcome; nice and cool on what was a really hot day. As it was so hot, it was quiet which was also nice. The Newbury is a firm favourite and it was great to return. Hand sanitiser and NHS track and trace available where you wait to be seated
Had Sunday lunch here, very nice, the vennison was awesome, would definitely come back. Would be 5 stars but felt the staff could benefit from a bit more enthusiasm knowledge but they were polite and friendly 4.5 for me.
