Went for a tasting evening and had the most amazing food. A friendly pub, with 7 pumps from Cask-Ale that often change. It is very close to the station, so always a good radiation for one last before the train.
We went for a family meal the other week and the waitress overheard that it was someone's birthday in our group and brought out a dessert with a candle in it without even being asked!! The food was lovely and all homemade. The beers and wines are really nice and the staff are so friendly. A great pub for eating and/or drinking my fave in Newbury.
