Madrick's Tavern - Newbury

I’m scared to write this review because I can see the responses to other reviews (yikes) but here we go. Service was quick and friendly. We ordered a burger, Philly steak, fries and tater tots. The fries and tots were good. Burger was okay. But the portion size on this philly steak is actually sad. Picture for reference. Overall price with tip for this was $35 so you’d expect there to be a bit more bang for your buck. This was our first time trying this place for takeout and unfortunately, I’m not impressed. And based on whoever responds to reviews, I don’t think we’d be coming back. Which is actually really unfortunate since this is one of the only other smaller pubs/food options in our area.

Absolute best wings I've had in the longest time. And the best deal on Saturdays- 50¢ a wing. Seriously the best. Don't ever stop making them!

Had the special, roast beef and cheddar sandwich with horseradish sauce. Very tasty!

Absolutely the best place in town. I enjoy eating here and mingling with the locals. The drinks are cold and the staff are fast knowledgeable and prepared
