I have lived my whole life in Newburgh and I have always gone through this little restaurant on DuPont Avenue and it was always busy, but I have never been ther... read more I have lived my whole life in Newburgh and I have always gone through this little restaurant on DuPont Avenue and it was always busy, but I have never been there until last night. Boy, I wish I stopped a lot earlier! Absolutely amazing place where they were employees welcomed and helpful both the hostess and the waitress were excellent. At first my drink came out and it was very tasty and strong at the same time I don't know how it did, but all you need is one and your feeling good. Next the Mozzarella frites came out and they were perfect came extra cheesy and you can say it was excellent cheese they used. My steak came with a side of penne, which was ingenious both eye pleasing and plissing stomach. decided to treat myself to a desert and I was not disappointed! The lava cake was all you wanted. Overall very satisfied would recommend everyone.

However, some family members felt hurried as the servers were pulled away while they were eating. I had to apologize to them in the name of the restaurant. I was embarrassed and it was my birthday (a few weeks ago). I guess we'll order forward. Never a problem. I understand you need to turn tables quickly, but we were barely there for an hour. I don't like feeling especially as a regular paying customer. I know it sometimes happens, but if my family members don't feel welcome, put me in a very difficult position to deliver positive feedback. I will change my review if there are improvements.

I can see why it's... read more We arrived a bit early, before the dinner rush. By the time we left at 6:30, the restaurant was completely packed, even on a Thursday night. I can see why it's so popular! The food was delicious and abundant, the service was excellent and attentive, and the atmosphere was fantastic. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience.

I normally leave reviews to my wife but felt strongly enough to do this: The food was excellent, the portions were large, and the staff was very pleasant, professional and always available to us.The dress code was a little better than casual so we were able to walk in off the street. We did not make a reservation yet wewere seated immediately by a friendly greeter. Thank you Vesuvios, we will see you soon!
