Came here on New Years Day (night) with a few friends, staff is incredibly kind and helpful. Our waiter was very attentive and just overall pleasant. The food was also delicious, the beef teriyaki was cooked to perfection and the sushi was very well prepared. Will absolutely be back. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
I recently dined at Itsmi Japanese Restaurant in the Affluent Town of Newburgh, and I can confidently say it was an exceptional experience! From the moment I walked in, the warm ambiance and inviting decor set the perfect tone for a delightful meal. The menu offers a fantastic variety of traditional Japanese dishes, and everything we ordered was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The sushi was incredibly fresh, with the Rainbow Roll being a standout—each piece was a work of art! The chef's special rolls are a must-try for anyone looking to indulge in something unique. The service was attentive yet unobtrusive, and our server was knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations. I appreciated how they took the time to explain the dishes and even suggested pairings that complemented our meal perfectly. Another highlight was the miso soup and edamame, which were delightful starters. The atmosphere was cozy and perfect for a casual dinner or a special occasion. Overall, Itsmi is a gem in the Town of Newburgh that I can't recommend highly enough. If you’re in the area and craving authentic Japanese cuisine, make sure to pay them a visit—you won’t be disappointed!

Stopped in here for lunch while traveling on business. This is the best sushi and Seafood Soup I have ever had. I ordered the Crunch n Munch, the Phoenix Roll, and the Ninja Roll. The atmosphere was lovely and the people were VERY friendly and attentive. Fantastic!
I love it here! I can't even remember how many times I've been to this place now, but it's such a hidden gem! I love their sushi selection, and the family is so warm and welcoming. I honestly keep coming back here to support them as I find them to be such a sweet family. Here's the latest picture I took of a takeout order of their TNT Roll (my favorite and their Crunchy Munchy. :
Ordered gyoza and got more than I wanted. instead of only gyoza they gave me a whole lunch box. found a fairly large piece of plastic (or maybe saran wrap in my salat. Last time I ordered, I was very impressing with the dinner. spent over $20 only starving. do not come back!
Itzmi is such a treat. Here you will be treated to very friendly service, truly delicious and fresh tasting sushi, plated attractively. The itzmi roll and the Japanese burrito appetizer are some of my favorite items but I really enjoy everything I have sampled here. This is certainly the best sushi in the area, highly recommend.
I had a fantastic sushi dinner here at a reasonable price. If you're looking for a peaceful dining experience in a cozy atmosphere with high-quality food, I highly recommend this restaurant. The quality of the sushi is impressive, and the prices are more affordable than some other sushi places nearby.

I can't express how much I love this restaurant; I'd dine here every week if I could. The sushi is absolutely delicious, fresh, and presented beautifully. I have multiple allergies, and they are always very accommodating. They even let you customize some of the sushi rolls if you ask! Moreover, the prices are quite reasonable given the quality of the food. This place definitely deserves a 10 out of 5. I highly recommend it to everyone!
The chef takes great pride in both the flavor and presentation of the dishes, excelling in both aspects. This is, without a doubt, the best sushi you'll find anywhere.
Whenever I visit a new sushi restaurant, I start with the miso soup. Although it's a simple dish, I find that if they put care into this soup, the sushi is often excellent. The miso here was tasty, so I decided to try their signature rolls and some appetizers. Everything was delicious! The freshness of the fish was evident, and you could tell a lot of effort went into crafting the signature rolls. They held together well, unlike some places where they fall apart. The wasabi was perfectly mixed as well; I've experienced wasabi that has uneven spiciness, with some bites being extremely hot and others lacking flavor altogether. The staff were incredibly friendly, too. I highly recommend this place!
This is the best real sushi place in the 845. It’s a hidden gem, I tell you. The place is clean, and the staff are incredibly friendly. The rolls? They are delicious and fresh – just like you want them. And those dumplings? Incredible! I’ll definitely be back. Trust me, you don’t want to miss this!

Although this is a Japanese restaurant, it actually serves very authentic Korean cuisine. The spicy wings are reminiscent of traditional Korean fried chicken and were absolutely delicious! I also highly recommend the hot stone pot; it was very flavorful. I was pleasantly surprised and left feeling very satisfied. The staff was incredibly friendly as well, providing great service!
Ordered Gyoza, and got more than I was asking for. Instead of just gyoza, they gave me a whole lunch bento box. Found a rather large piece of plastic (or maybe Saran Wrap? in my salad? Last time I ordered I was very unimpressed with the dinner aswell.Spent over $20 just to still be hungry. Not coming back!!!
This restaurant is a hole in the wall that never disappoints. The fish is fresh and the sushi is so masterfully prepared it could bring you to tears. This is a must visit, they are friendly and fast, and the food is so tasty, satisfying, and beautiful.Five stars isn?t enough. I?d give ten if I could!
Absolutely delicious! I’ve had their food as takeout before, but experiencing it fresh at the table is a whole different level! The flavors were incredible! I'm not usually a sushi person, but I stepped out of my comfort zone to try three of their most popular rolls, and I would definitely order them again!
I recently had my first experience at Itzmi, which comes highly recommended. Its location is somewhat discreet, situated at the back of a strip mall. I ordered a dozen smoked salmon sushi rolls, which were quite delicious. Although the rolls are on the smaller side for the price of $16, the freshness of the ingredients makes up for it. The restaurant has a cozy, intimate atmosphere with a limited number of tables.
