What Saul Chávez doesn't like about Oscar:
A few friends and I dined at this restaurant on a casual weekend night. The place was not crowded. Although our food took longer to arrive than I anticipated, the service from both the waitress and the chef was kind. The food was delicious, but there isn't much else to mention about the restaurant. I would recommend it for a quiet dinner with friends or family. During our search for an Italian restaurant in Newbridge, we came across Oscar House. The sight of the pizza oven outside immediately grabbed my attention, making me believe that delicious pizza was being made inside. Upon entering, we noticed that we were the only customers in the restaurant, which seemed to focus more on food delivery. The ambiance was average, neither particularly inviting nor unappealing. We felt chilly during our meal as the heater near our table wasn't working. Unfortunately, the appetizer we wanted was unavailable. We decided to order two 12-inch Diablo pizzas for 16€ each. The pizzas arrived in about 15-20 minutes, but we were disappointed to find that the "fresh mozzarella" listed on the menu was actually regular shredded cheese. The pizzas were greasy, with a soggy crust in the middle. Despite mostly tasting of grease, they had a pleasing spiciness. We had higher hopes for our meal. However, the standout was the light and tasty crust. Personally, I have no plans to return to Oscar House.
The pizza was delicious, the pasta was excellent, and the wings were perfect! The restaurant offers a truly authentic Italian taste. I give it 5 stars.

The food here is good, with the only wood-fired pizza in town. The restaurant is run by a real Italian, and it's nice and quiet during the week. The decor is nice as well. I tried the quattro formaggi and margherita pizzas, both were good - rated at 6.4 and 6.7 respectively. While the pizza is better than anything else in town, it just didn't have that extra something to earn a higher score. Still worth a visit.
The service was excellent and the food was amazing.
