We absolutely adore the sense of having stepped back in time. This restaurant is steeped in the rich history of fishing in the Rideau lakes, with decor and ambiance that hasn't changed in 75 years. It's our go-to spot for comfort food, and we are always satisfied with our meals.

I had dinner here on Canada Day, and the experience was wonderful. The restaurant has a rustic atmosphere that is truly picturesque. I appreciated the decor and all the historical photographs showcasing this charming fishing village. My meal was fantastic: I started with a carrot and ginger soup with beans, followed by a Caesar salad, and I enjoyed a succulent roast beef dish served with a half glaze, a baked potato, and fresh peas. The experience was topped off with dessert—a delightful homemade coconut cream cake paired with coffee. Our server, Blythe, made the evening even more enjoyable with her friendly and engaging demeanor. By the way, I've decided to order a coconut cream cake for the weekend—I'm already looking forward to my next visit! Thank you!
