Tgi Sushi - Newark
Tgi Sushi
Description
In a recent overhaul of management and menu, the dining experience at this restaurant has become a mixed bag. While sushi rolls and sashimi are generally praised, service issues persist, often leaving guests waiting up to 50 minutes or even resulting in order mix-ups, as with a Mother's Day pickup that went awry. The quality of dishes varies, with some items like the chicken teriyaki and bento box drawing criticism for their portions and preparation. Although the food can be enjoyable at times, uneven service and recent changes have contributed to a less-than-stellar overall experience. Prospective diners should prepare for potential delays.

Sadly they changed their menu which was pretty good I don't have time to give them a chance to go back to what I liked about them. The use to have a great bento option now it's the saddest thing you ever saw.
While the restaurant appeared clean during our visit, I have serious concerns about their hygiene. We discovered a cockroach between our plates. Although the waitstaff apologized for this oversight, I don't think I will return.
I visited this restaurant hoping to enjoy some nigiri, only to find out they had been completely taken off the menu! I was quite disappointed... It seems like it's better to come here just for quick bites.
Ownership changed again along with the menu. Sushi rolls and sashimi were solid though it took 50 minutes to get the sashimi. Definitely come here if you are not crunched for time and don't mind walking up to the front to ask for service. There's only one server to manage ~10 tables, all online orders and the phone.
