I have been to this restaurant many times and it has always been excellent. However, I made a reservation 4 days in advance for a party of 4 to dine outside. I had guests come from Myrtle Beach and I wanted to bring them to your restaurant. When wearrived the greeter told us that the outside was 1st come, 1st serve. I looked outside at the patio and saw at least 2 opentables. When I told her that she said no you didn 't . I was embarrassed in front of my guests. We stayed anyway and dinedinside. I suggest if a customer reserves outdoor dining, it should be honored. Why would you allow people to sit outside whenthey don 't make a reservation when another customer took the time to reserve it. This could be a reason to find anotherrestaurant that honors a reservation. I was not informed that it was 1st come, 1st served when I called in thereservation. Very disappointed
Our server Emily was delightful. The food was delicious! The birthday cake for my sister was YUMMY. Look forward to our next visit.
Sat at the bar for our first time here. The bartender was far too good to take some of the rudeness from one of the customers but she handled it well. The appetizers were good (fresh oysters on the half shell and brussel sprouts) and my husband's chickensandwich was huge. He had tater tots that were far better than I ever remember them being as a kid!
We went to skipjack for a birthday dinner and the food was absolutely incredible! We ordered drinks, entrees, appetizers, drinks. Everything was incredible! The service was slower at times but we all agreed that it was worth the wait for suchdelicious food
Crab cakes very good. Creme Brule delicious. Mimosas very good. Drink list is hilarious. Colleen great service.

Great food, it felt like a family atmosphere. Very clean. Drinks were great I had a jolly rancher. Julia was a remarkable waitress, very attentive with a warm smile. Will definitely be back. I had the short rib n Brie n apple appetizer.?
The food is prepared with fresh ingredients, and we have been here with small and large groups. Consistently great. Dietary restrictions: Safe and accommodating for Celiac and gluten free options.
I ordered the short rib stroganoff, scallops, and crab skins as appetizers. Everything was absolutely delicious!

Presentation is better than the taste. Dessert was a huge disappointment, Key lime flavorless.
2024.06 update: Still so yummy! They have great lunch specials for around $11. Service was fast and the food was delicious. 2022.12 review: Still absolutely delicious. They no longer have the celeriac puree, but do have a salmon option with cubed celery root with bacon fat which is also good. The Brussels were definitely the star of our meal though and I will be getting them again when we visit next. Prior review: One of the best places to eat in Delaware, hands down. It is rare to find a restaurant that is inventive with their food, and Skipjack accomplishes this easily in the products they use and the way the food is prepared. I love everything I've eaten there, particularly the white chocolate celeriac puree. It's a side, but if you see it paired with something, I'd highly recommend ordering it.

Oh...my....goodness. What a gem of a restaurant full of culinary delight. Our tastebuds are still dancing. There are not enough superlatives to describe our experience. Highly recommend this gem. Staff was warm , friendly and most accommodating. Pricing is very fair and the food is 'out of bounds '. Was our first time here and will definitely not be our last.
I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The atmosphere was wonderful, the food was delicious, and the drinks were excellent. The staff was also very friendly. I will definitely return in the future.
My new favorite restaurant!! I’m vegetarian and it’s hard to find a place with good veggie options, but this place is the best! They can make almost anything on the menu Vegetarian. And they have the sweetest staff!

I recently had a private event at Skipjack's and I must say, it was an incredible experience! Kim, the event coordinator was amazing and so accommodating. Both she and Donnie were flexible on food choices and in helping plan the event. The food was nothing short of amazing and delicious, and our friends were raving about everything. The waitstaff bent over backwards to keep our guests happy and keep our drinks coming. I would highly recommend Skipjack's for private events. I can't rave about it enough!

The crab cake was excellent, the creme brulee was delicious, and the mimosas were great. However, the drink menu was overwhelming. Colleen provided excellent service.
We came with our extended family and we?re sat and served almost immediately. Our server provided us with suggestions and took care of everyone quickly. The food also came out in a fairly reasonable amount of time given the size of our party (12 I think). The food was pretty good overall. I would definitely consider coming back. I?d probably try something different and adjust my scoring a bit higher as I got the sense there were better items on the menu
