my favorite african food to eat HANDS down. the owner is an awesome, FRIENDLY woman. When you first come in , it doesnt give off to friendly, but once you walk to the back to order or get your food, its a different vibe. The food is AMAZING ! I always get Efo riro w/ fufu . which is spinach pounded yam . It comes with 3 different meats however , i only eat fish its AMAZING ! I just love this spot, i feel as if Mama G... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Mama G African:
The jollof rice and fried plantains, as well as the egusi soup, are delicious. My only concern is the meat. Each time we order, it feels like a gamble regarding whether the goat or chicken will be tender enough to eat. I would appreciate it if you could cook them a bit longer; the goat skin is often tough, and the chicken is sometimes dry. I don't want the meat to be a challenge when I'm trying to enjoy my meal. I strongly advise against ordering from here. The food was terrible! The Ayamase gizz dodos made me nearly gag. The meat was overcooked and tasted old. Overall, the food was not fresh at all.
I'm giving Mama G four stars, and as a picky eater, that's quite a compliment. The reason for the four-star rating is that I wish they offered a bit more variety, particularly in their drink selection, and it would be helpful to see images of the dishes they serve. However, overall, they excel in authentic Nigerian cuisine. Their Eguisi with cassava fufu is outstanding—the spice level and everything else are just right. I know that when my partner arrives, he'll be able to enjoy the tastes of home.

This was my first experience with Nigerian cuisine, and it definitely won't be my last. I enjoyed every single bite!
The food was decent, but I received two small pieces of meat along with a large amount of fatty bits.
