This is THE breakfast place!! One of the only left with the og design. It feels like the olden days and the food takes like it too: it is a solid food place with good, simple, and classic breakfast food seasoned to a T. The egg sandwiches are to die for! The staff is nice and gets you your food in minutes. 10/10 would recommend

One of the greatest Delaware diners, a true establishment. Real 302'ers order the creamed chipped beef.

It was my first time at this place. You seat yourself. The service was a little slow. I ordered a 3 egg omelet with ham, cheese, and mushrooms. Very nice portions. The food was good for the price. Good value. I would definitely go back and hope I get better service.

Nestled in a nostalgic setting, this local diner has become a favorite for breakfast and lunch, offering classic dishes at reasonable prices. While many patrons rave about the quick service and friendly staff, others recount less-than-stellar experiences, including long wait times and subpar food quality. Complaints highlight issues such as improperly cooked eggs and unappetizing meals, with some diners even encountering hygiene concerns. Despite these criticisms, the diner continues to attract many locals, drawn by its charm and affordability. For those seeking reliable breakfast fare, it remains a popular choice, but some may want to tread cautiously.

This place is simply another great, old-fashioned, local diner. I only ordered everyone as often as I like the prices for their breakfast items and never had any problems. Not sure if the Health Council gives them a passport, as their cleanliness and hygiene standards are clearly not comparable, but as I said, it is a glimpse of culture, so that germ aphobes please note. Their clientele seems to be mainly seniors, and lower middle class garbage .

That was one of the most dirty places I've ever dimmed! They didn't even have a mop, used for a spike at a nearby table, napkins! The kitchen staff did not seem hygienic conscious or clean. No wore hair nets, main cook cough repeated, exposed. Ask with waiting staff, don't worry about customer presence! I won't be back.

I tried this restaurant for breakfast for the first time since COVID, and I was very impressed. The chipped beef gravy was excellent. A good indicator of a great breakfast spot is the presence of retirees and workers in trucks and vans, and this place had a nice mix of patrons. The server was very friendly. I enjoyed sitting at the counter, especially since I was dining alone. I will definitely be returning.

We enjoyed our experience at this non-franchised restaurant. Who knew a person could get scrapple so many different ways. In fact, who knew what scrapple was? I ended up with the bacon and eggs, etc. It was good.

Came in for the special to go and it was just awful. French toast I ordered came with no apple topping which I paid extra for, and to say the amount of food they gave me was sparse would be an understatement. Not only that but the potatoes were bland andthe bacon was shriveled to a dry crisp. At least the service I received was nice and attentive. I was so disappointed with thefood though, this place looks like it has rave reviews, what in the world happened with my order?

This place is simply another gritty, old fashioned, local diner. I only order takeout every so often as I like the prices for their breakfast items and never had any issues. Not sure if the Board of Health gives them a pass as their cleanliness andhygiene standards are clearly not up to par but like I said it is a gritty establishment on culture so germaphobes please note.Their clientele seems to be mainly seniors, and lower middle class trash .

This was one of the dirtiest places I?ve ever dined! They didn?t even have a mop, for a spill at a nearby table, used napkins! The kitchen staff didn?t seem hygienically conscious or clean. None wore hair nets, main cook coughing repeatedly, unmasked.Arguing with wait staff, no care of customer presence! I will NOT be back.

I hate leaving anything but raving reviews for small businesses but this was a very disappointing first and last experience. Called to ask a simple question and the woman who answered was so rude! Acted like it was a huge inconvenience to do her job andhung up before we could even finish. I will say once we got there the service was quick, friendly and attentive. The foodhowever was so bland and sparse I couldn 't believe the reviews were so good! The pancakes were very good but beyond thateverything from the eggs to the bacon, sausage, and home fries that were nothing but soggy chunks of potatoes, were allincredibly dull, dry, and either over cooked or under cooked. 4 stars for the waitress and atmosphere, 2 stars for the food.
