Captain D's - Newark
Captain D's
Description
Captain D’s promises a diverse menu catering to dietary restrictions, ample parking, and family-friendly options, including a dedicated kids' menu and wheelchair accessibility. However, service inconsistencies mar the experience, with reports of long waits and inattentive staff detracting from the restaurant's appeal. While some patrons rave about the food, particularly the seafood offerings like lobster rolls and crispy butterfly shrimp, others express disappointment in portion sizes and cleanliness. Despite these mixed reviews, many remain loyal, drawn by the flavors and special promotions like Senior Day, suggesting a restaurant with potential awaiting improvement in service quality.

Service was absolutely horrible. Plants were overpriced and overcooked. This used to be one of my favorite fast food fish restaurants. Holiday and Service have done nothing but decline. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
Dietary restrictions: There are good options available. Parking: Plenty of parking space. Kid-friendliness: They have a good menu for kids. Wheelchair accessibility: It is easy to access the restaurant with a wheelchair.
The food wasn't fresh. It was lukewarm instead of hot. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3 Price per person: $20–30
The food was cooked perfect, fish and chicken size have gotten thinner. Main issue I seen was the fountain drink rack and tub was disgusting.. looks like it had mold in it. Several tables needed wiped down. The person had plenty of time as no one else was there and she just left the dining room spot sweeping.
