Before heading back to MT, I wanted to enjoy some amazing seafood. Not only was there big serving portions but the food was amazing (many seafood options). The drink was a 'vacation-in-a-bottle ', if that is even possible. Hands down the best drink I have had in a long time! The staff was very welcoming and helped me pick the perfect meal! I will 100% be coming back for this again! View all feedback.
What Toney Rogahn doesn't like about Allegro Seafood Grill:
I will never be back here. I grew up on this block and I am accustomed to amazing food and service in Newark and sadly this place just doesn't have it. My steak was asked to be med rare, it came out so well done I could not even cut it. My friends snapper was horrible.. the calamari was cold and rubbery and the garlic shrimp was decent. The servers all had attitudes. And I will never return. View all feedback.
Service was excellent, drinks were excellent. My friends and I didn't really like eating. I'd come back to drink something, and French fries. Maybe I need to try other menu options. We had oysters, fries, salads, fish and empanadas.
Definitely the best seafood restaurant in Newark, cozy family atmosphere, Caribbean climate, great option for lunch, happy hour and dinner. Perfect for dates, parties and family fun, excellent food, amazing drinks, live music on weekends, I love this place!!!
Great food, big patio. The food was good. I had the grilled snapper, but there was a lack of salt. We had the Kaipirinha, it was good
This restaurant is one of the best in Newark for Portuguese cuisine. In the restaurant, outside there is a beautiful and well maintained garden with well placed tables. In the garden there are two problems, first the excess of flies. And secondly, the chairs are low and the tables are high. But the quality of food surpasses all this. I highly recommend it.
Attended a family event for 60 people. We were seated outside to accommodate our group. The outdoor setting was comfortable with a combination of ceiling and standing fans to keep the air moving. We started with bottled wine, pitchers of sangria and beer. The appetizers included garlic shrimp, grilled chorizo, fried calamari, shrimp pockets and cod croquettes. All delicious, for me this was the best part. Entrees included barbecue chicken with fries, cuttlefish, and grilled codfish which was to salty for my taste. Service was very good and friendly. They do have indoor seating wi and h full bar. They do have a small parking lot with street parking.
