I had to take two Tylenols and I felt terrible, it ruined the whole experience for me.

The staff... read more Adega Grill in Newark, NJ: A Mixed Bag Y'all, let me tell you about my experience at Adega Grill on September 15, 2022. The vibe? Absolutely on point. The staff looked sharp, dressed to impress, and the atmosphere was top notch. Sitting at the bar, enjoying the service, and getting to pick our own music? Now that's what I'm talking about! But here's the thing a restaurant is all about the food, right? And that night, the kitchen was off its game. The dishes were tough and lacked flavor, which was a real letdown. My friend, who's been here several times before, even agreed that something was off with the night cook. Now, I'm all about giving second chances. My friend swears this isn't the Adega Grill she knows and loves, insisting I should give it another shot. But I gotta be honest for the prices they're charging, I expect better. If you're looking for a spot with great ambiance, Adega Grill might be your jam. The space is definitely a winner. But if you're a foodie like me, you might want to think twice. Or at least, maybe check who's in the kitchen that night! I'm torn because I really wanted to love this place. The potential is there, but that night, the food just didn't live up to the hype. Maybe I'll consider giving it another try someday, but for now, I'm on the fence.

However, please note that they add gratuity for tables of 4 (even though menu states only for table of 6 and more). There is also a 4% charge when using a credit card. Unfortunately the way the bill is presented, you may unknowingly give an additional 18-20% on top of the 15% gratuity...so go through your bill very carefully. That was disappointing and very deceptive.
