I was pleasantly surprised to find a good Greek/Turkish grill in Newark. The location is beautiful, with windows overlooking the castle on one side and Ossington on the other. Despite the busy surroundings, the food was delicious with hot pita, fresh grilled lamb that wasn't too oily or salty. We will definitely be coming back. View all feedback.

I dined here last night and unfortunately, I will not be returning. My first impression was not good as I noticed leftover food on a nearby table. My partner ordered calamari as a starter, which was terrible. My own starter was decent, but the wine we ordered was just placed on the table without the server offering to pour it for us. For our main course, we both had steak; I ordered the sirloin for £18 and my partner... View all feedback.
Visited for the first time, it was a Saturday night and not overly busy. The menu looked pricey compared to other Turkish restaurants especially the starters, the mains were ok but the beef stifado was very fatty and not particularly tasty and the dishes were...missing the bulgar wheat as advertised. Staff were friendly but there was no offer to rectify or offer a discount, we got some backlava as a way of an apology. It’s a shame as we wanted it to be good but unfortunately won’t be visiting again. We used to regularly visit when under the previous management
I was taken to Usta Grill by my family and friends for a surprise birthday dinner. The food was super and the staff could not have been nicer. The staff even presented me with a large chocolate birthday cake at the end of the meal....Cant wait to go back again.
Had a really nice time on my daughter baptism. great eating on our desire made .friendly personal .big place for families and friends parties. I really recommend it! only a scandal that many people do not know about this place and how huge backyard. they have!
The restaurant allowed us to book on Easter Sunday for 2 o'clock, although we opened around 16 o'clock. very friendly staff. big food and great appetizers (several of halloumi! . they also made a beautiful birthday cake!
First time having a takeaway from Usta Grill. Overall not bad but points that could be improved on. Ordered on just eat and their page was pretty simple and self explanatory. Food arrived 25 mins early which is obviously a massive bonus.... Unless you're busy...and they catch you by surprise but hay all fun and game ay. Delivery person was extremely polite and nice instead of the usual shoving food in you face and walking off as some other places local to here. Food itself was served in typical takeaway plastic containers and which unfortunately leaked into the bag and made it soggy. The prawns in garlic tasted nice but unfortunately they were just cheap frozen prawns. The calamari was extremely good but presume just frozen rings. I had the chicken gyro with salad and chips....overall very nice taste but because of the containers enged up soggy which spoil the chips and made them into a mush. My partner had the lamb shish wrap which came as well as could be presented for a take away, not soggy and very tasty We was pleased with the taste of the food and would order again but like I said previously things could be improved
