We had a meal here, not been for a while, was not as good as previous visits, not bad, just not up to usual standard, our steaks seemed to be of poorer quality, maybe it was us, seemed quiet, service was ok, never thought was brilliant, still a decent place to eat. View all feedback.
What jkeltd doesn't like about Redbrick House:

The meal was average, but it was served on a small salad plate instead of a dinner plate, causing the food to be piled up and unappetizing. The Lemon Meringue pie was terrible.
Good service and a reasonable price with good produce and a friendly atmosphere. Not too far off the beaten track.if you're local to, or visiting Sherwood Forest. Well worth a visit.
Recently ate here for Sunday lunch, food very good plenty of good quality meat (I had Beef) and good choice of veg. I'm afraid it was all let down by inattentive, lacklustre service. We wasn't asked if we wanted any sauces (i.e. mint sauce for my wife's lamb and mustard for my beef). Our plates were just thrown in front of us and the waitresses rushed off. What a shame, perhaps been a long week.
I just returned from a wonderful weekend getaway at one of the lodges behind the Redbrick House hotel. The lodge was spacious with 3 en-suite bedrooms, a cozy log burner surrounded by 3 comfortable sofas, and an incredible covered hot tub. The food at the hotel restaurant was delicious. Amy, in particular, went above and beyond to help us and ensure that nothing was too much trouble. To make the stay even more perfect, each room had bathrobes and slippers to use, as well as fluffy towels. I will definitely be visiting again in the future.
It is a long time since we have been here but we were not disappointed. Athough the menu is quite small, there is something to suit most tastes. We had olives with bread and dipping sauces for starter to share. It came very well presented on a slate with lovely warm, freshly baked ciabatta type bread, a pot of olives, a pot of balsamic with olive oil, a pot of sweet chilli sauce, a pot of tomato, mint and red onion salad and a beutifully dressed salad on the side. It was delicious. We both chose the sirloin steak for main one medium and one medium rare which were cooked to perfection. They came with the most delicious chips I have had for a long time, field mushroom, tomato and peas. My husband had a green peppercorn sauce and I had Welbeck stilton sauce. The sauces were both stunning. Although full, my husband could not resist the apple and mixed berry crumble with custard, which he said was delicious. I had a rhubarb and raspberry tart which came with vailla icecream so tasty. I would have no hesitation in recommending this place to anyone. The staff were friendly, the service was good and the food outstanding.
