Seven of us enjoyed a delicious Sunday lunch every course was superb. Service was great professional and friendly. Drinks inc wine were very good. Great atmosphere and and attractive decor only slight niggle is that half our party had to sit on a bench with no back which wasn’t that comfortable so we didn’t stay for coffee. A stool at the end of the table was replaced with a chair by a helpful member of staff View all feedback.

I thought I had booked a table for 6 people, Christmas dinner, 3 courses for £30 per person. it turned out that I would forget and reserved only one table for 4. what a nightmare; but actually it would not have been better. the employees were incredibly patient, understand, receive and their hospitality was impeccable! what could have been a difficult situation was perfectly solved. the quality of eating was something we previously did not taste, cheese souffle, truthahn wellington, seabass, brazed blade of bark, the list continues. everything was boiled to perfection, the aromen raised, we could just fail. many thanks to all those who make it an unforgettable birthday dinner. we rarely eat, but will be definitiw regular customers from now on!
Cozy pub inside, beautiful sitting area outside, if the weather allowed! we like to take a lunch break from our free time cycle, as this is really eating.
I'm not surprised that the bottle and the glass of harby aren't on the review as it lives on the call. an obvious little village pub is bigger than he can.
An outstanding Burns Night taster evening!! Each course was executed perfectly. Wonderful food and service throughout. Compliments to the chef and staff for a fabulous evening. 5
We booked dinner quite late and the staff fitted us in no problem. The Bottle Glass is a very nice looking pub, rustic lighting and furnishings, it’s a classy place. We were seated right next to a roaring log burner, nice touch. The staff warned us things might be slow on the service due to being very busy. Fair enough at least we were warned. The food? A baked Camembert to share for starters. This was delicious but I would argue it was more for one than 2 people. 3 small bits of bread were served. Why 3? 3 bits of bread each would have been fine. We waited patiently for the main. Venison Saddle. Only one complaint the Venison was rare, almost blue. It may have been rushed due to the delay and we could’ve sent it back but we had waited long enough. Venison should be medium rare and it tainted the dish but the marrow mash and jus was superb. It might be best to ask customers if they prefer rare as it is personal preference. The staff were attentive and welcoming. The overall menu options are excellent and we will go back. With a little bit more refinement this pub can be up there with some of the best in the region (we’ve been to most of them).
