What Lazarus C doesn't like about Pages.r.seo.title. Pages.r.seo.title.:
Its a pretty classy space and the bartenders do know how to make a great drink. These guys know their stuff and won't look at you like you're from another planet if you ask for something obscure. On the minus side it's a bit too subdued for my tastes. It also has a slight hipster vibe that can come off a bit pretentious. This is the kind of place that will appeal to some and scare away others. View all feedback.
The bartenders are amazing and attentive! Great atmosphere and music! Very chill place to just come and hang with friendly locals.
If you 're a member of the LGBTQIA+ (or an ally community, you should check out the Apothecary 39 located at the 39th Street District (aka the strip . It 's pretty chill in there and has a hipster/lounge atmosphere. It also has a patio and the bar is NON-SMOKING but you can smoke on the patio. It does close earlier than the other bars of the strip. First impression: This place is old. No really, I 've been told the building is more than 100 years old and was part of the original Route 66 mother road . It has a lot of history and if you talk to the older local crowd, they will have plenty of entertaining stories. It 's nearby various LGBTQIA+ clubs, restaurants, and a hotel. You can park in one spot and then do a bar crawl throughout the night. However, you should start your night here. Menu: I drink Miller Lite and when I want a shot I go for Jameson (it 's an Irish thing . However, there is a special menu of cocktails you can order from. Keep in mind sometimes the liquor they use may be out of stock. This can apply to items off the special menu as well. Atmosphere: There are plenty of places to sit at the bar or throughout the establishment. Don 't expect anything exciting playing on the TVs and the music in the bar is picked by the bartender that 's working that night. There is a pool table, but it 's not a professional version. The bathrooms are NOT updated and are what you would expect from a typical bar. Cleanliness would be compared to the other bars in the area. Customer Service: For the most part, the staff is friendly. You 'll get service with a smile and they will do their best to get your drink order to you. Keep in mind they deal with a lot of intoxicated people and so if you 're a little too much , you 're likely to be told to calm down. At peak times, you will wait in line but the cocktail will be worth it. Price: It 's a little steep but is similar to the bars within the 39th Street district. You can find drinks cheaper elsewhere, but you 'll need to go somewhere else in the city. You are paying for the location, the community, and the convenience of being near other locations. Overall: I like this place. I go there often. I feel comfortable and I have always had good service. It 's quieter than the other bars. So if you want to have a conversation with someone, you can. The bartenders will get to know you if you frequent the place and if you have a regular order, they 'll remember it. You should definitely stop by and stay a while.
