What Claire McNulty doesn't like about Le Petit Paquet In Shorel:
I really wanted to like this place. The drinks seem interesting and good, but the pizza... We ordered three, and one was very burned. The sauce was both too sweet and lacked flavor. Tables are crammed. View all feedback.
We came in before our evening plans. We were very late in meeting our friends and knew when we ordered we wouldn't really have time to properly enjoy our meal, so we asked for the check and to have the pizzas either served to go or be ready to slid in to boxes on short notice when we ordered. A lot of places would be annoyed by this but they were SO accommodating. They were just super nice in general. Like genuine good vibes nice, not service industry nice. Also the pizza crust was so on point. I'm from a very pizza snobby east coast city and am generally unimpressed by Seattle area crusts but theirs is legit. Toppings were awesome too. We got the Waikiki Beach Park and the Discovery Park +prosciutto and they were delicious!
I was reluctant to give this wonderfully cozy little place a 5 star review. I mean, it totally deserves it. The pizzas are just the right size with a perfect crust, slightly chewy, but not thick and bready. And, not the pizza on a cracker so common in the PNW. At least a dozen choices with fresh, inventive toppings. Even the 'simple ' pies seem like a treat. Several delicious salads, likewise several dessert options. They also offer a wide wine selection for every taste and budget, plus a number of well mixed, interesting and delightful cocktails. The space is intimate 4 5 tables, 5 6 barstools, plus 4 5 more tables in a covered patio. I recommend you sit at the bar at least once as it looks right into the kitchen where you can watch Zephyr and her small team create, and dance around each other. It 's like dinner and a show. Seriously, this place deserves 5 star reviews shouted from the rooftops. But, it is a secret gem we wanted to keep to ourselves for Friday Date Night. Then I learned they have a Wednesday Date Night menu....
What a nice little dinner spot! Drinks were amazing. Ceasars salad left something to be desired but the pizza redeemed it. Excellent flavor choices, thin crisp crust, and great sauce. My only gripe was there was so much flour on the bottom of the pies. Also a woman was actively doing parking enforcement while we were sitting outside, which made the whole scene a little weird at times. Overall not a bad spot, would definitely return.
This place is legit. The ambiance. The people. The Pizza.
Magnuson park pizza! Too delicious for words. Perfect amount of pepperoni and cheese. Definitley feels like a light food, even though it’s pizza. (So you don’t feel bad eating an entire pie)!! Didn’t sit in the restaurant but I could tell it was super cute!
