The staff is friendly and the food is great. They have a "clean as you go" policy. There are many birds flying around, adding to the atmosphere. The portions are generous, serving 2 to 3 people. They also offer free water. Prices for the food range from 15 NZD to 25 NZD. View all feedback.
I’ve been here a few times with my toddlers and enjoyed the good coffee and play area. I ordered food for the first time today and was completely surprised at how delicious and beautifully presented it was. The modest sounding “hummus plate” was well worth the price, I’ll definitely be ordering it again!
We loved Founder’s Cafe! It’s charming atmosphere, food and wait staff were delightful. We returned a few times.
Very tastie, generous portions for lunch. They were very busy, but the staff were very composed and we got our order in no time at all with a very friendly smile.
Nice sheltered indoo outdoor seating in delightful restored village. Nice coffee and small but tasty selection of cabinet food, plus a menu. Founders entry is free fot Nelson and Tasman ratepayers.
Don’t walk, RUN to this cafe. Don’t like history? Close your eyes through the park to get there. For the love of GOD, order the creamy mushrooms. It is nothing short of a religious experience. Would have given ten stars if possible.
