I had a few friends there last night. the place was quite quiet when we sat down for the first time. the doors and windows were open to the pavement and it was a bit warm inside. our waitress was very friendly and she was the only other worker next to the female chef in the kitchen. it took a while to get the food, because everything is made fresh, until the maisbrot, which did not look like traditional brot, but was... What Hope Sanford doesn't like about Zora's Cafe:

The fried catfish and chicken waffles were amazing!
I never had fried green tomatoes until now and they were delicious! The fried chicken was cooked perfectly. The service was great and we didn't have to wait long. I will definitely be back.
I ordered the oxtails and they instantly reminded me of home with their southern style flavor. I couldn't stop raving about them. The collard greens and macaroni and cheese were also excellent.
I went to this restaurant for dinner the other night with a few friends. When we first arrived, the atmosphere was quiet. The doors and windows were open to the sidewalk, making it a bit warm inside. Our waitress was friendly and the only other staff member we saw besides the female cook in the kitchen. It took some time to receive our food because everything is freshly made, even the corn bread, which had a unique look but tasted really good. The fried green tomatoes had a light, crispy batter. I ordered the fried catfish, which was a large and flavorful piece of fish. The red beans were delicious, although the mac n' cheese was a bit lacking in flavor. One of my friends tried the fried chicken and enjoyed it. We plan to return for the cobbler.
