My friend tried the vegan strawberry shortcake and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm excited to sample more of their vegan flavors in the future!

Nothing special about it, although their early grey was pretty good. The seatings were limited, crowded, and worst of all, the waffle cone that we got was soggy, which shouldnt be the case. I know there are multiple locations of this ice cream shop, but I am pretty sure you can find a better place than this.

I ordered the strawberry shortcake, but I didn't add any toppings, so maybe that was my fault. The ice cream was incredibly creamy, but the service was lacking. I understand that it is a chain restaurant, so I didn't expect much, but I felt rushed and anxious while I was there, so I just ended up getting the first flavor I tried plain.

If you want vegan soft serve, or more roomy place to sit, you might check out 16 Handles nearby, which offers Oatly soft serve (though I feel that the vegan ice cream at Van Leeuwen's tastes better).
