This restaurant was a great find in the neighborhood. Every dish we tried was delicious and flavorful. I will definitely be returning to try more of their menu, especially the pho short rib grilled cheese. View all feedback.
What Jamie Gregory doesn't like about Van Da:
The food at this restaurant was decent, however, it did not justify the high prices. Some dishes, such as the sweet potato shrimp fritters and the grilled cheese, were exceptionally good. The service was disappointingly slow. View all feedback.

This Thai restaurant is a hidden gem, serving up flavorful and unique dishes in a cozy and romantic atmosphere with attentive and welcoming staff. I will definitely be returning. Vegetarian options are plentiful, and parking is available in NYC.
I brought my mom and sister here and we had a delicious meal in a truly beautiful space. The restaurant itself is warm and inviting with beautiful decor. We shared a bottle of one of their skin contact wines and decided to try the set menu, which was definitely the right choice. We all ordered different things to be able to sample as much of the menu as possible and loved every single dish. Highlights were the fried mochi balls, short rib grilled cheese, beef tartare, and beef main dish. I also highly recommend the Sapa Express cocktail if you like a Manhattan/old fashioned-style drink. Above all the service was amazing and our server helped explain how to eat all the dishes and helped customize some dishes for our needs. We will absolutely be coming back here.
Nice Vietnamese restaurant in East Village. Would recommend the Bahn Beo rice cakes, stir fry noodles, Mi Vi Tiem (roasted five spice duck with noodles) and taro dumpling soup. The rice cakes have chicharron (fried pork rinds) which add flavor and crunch. The duck noodle dish is very tasty. The taro dumpling soup makes for a nice dessert especially on a cold day.The dishes are a bit pricey for the quantity, but the quality and flavor make up for it. They have both a la carte and set menus.
A delightful experience from start to finish! We did the tasting menu and the shareable plates were absolutely excellent. Really surprising, a couple of the best bites I think we had at a dinner in some time. The entrée portions are actually fairly large so when they talk about sharing family style, I think you can limit the entrées and the appetizers.
