Wow! An amazing ramen experience, the service was phenomenal and we chatted it up with our waiter during the short wait for food, he even taught us the best way to reheat the ramen! The ambiance is cozy yet luxurious, even the entrance through the hotel felt fancy. We had the tonkotsu and birria ramens with an app of Takoyaki. Everything hit and the prices were pretty standard. What User doesn't like about Shinka Ramen And Sake:
I'd like to begin by acknowledging the excellent customer service, particularly the guy at the bar who also manages orders (he deserves 5 stars). However, the food quality receives just one star. The beef ramen lacked flavor, and the tacos were disappointing and cold. Unfortunately, the overall dining experience fell short. The ambiance is suitable for a quick drink, though View all feedback.
Bone Marrow, Pulled Pork Nachos and Pork Rib apps were all very delicious! Rib meat fell off the bone had a crispy outer crust that was amazing. The bone marrow was incredibly tasty, not too rich, and a very generous portion. The wonton nacho chips were a unique twist and great with the pulled pork. Followed up these apps by a perfectly flavored bowl of Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen with noodles cooked firm, at my request. Soup base was richly flavored but not too spicy or salty. The noodle portion was quite generous as well. My wife had Smoked Duck Ramen that literally came smoking, to the table. Duck had a real nice smokey flavor and the broth was equally well seasoned, again not too salty. Service was excellent and the owners stopped by a few times to introduce themseves and check up on us. Shinka is still relatively new, in the process of establishing itself and still perfecting their craft but definitely off to a great start. Located in the Wyndham Garden Hotel, in Chinatown, with the Bowery Beer Garden adjacent, a planned craft cocktail and dessert bar, downstairs, and Rooftop93 Bar Lounge with an amazing view from the top of the hotel, this location is the perfect NYC hang out for drinks, great eats, and a fantastic view of uptown, all in one place!
Cool little spot with great food and awesome micro brewed beers from Japan. I had the Shinka Ribs, they were delicious. Crispy on the outside with a sweet glaze and spicy sriracha taste in every bite. Next I had the Shinka Tonkotsu (first time having Ramen) that was delicious, it had a nice kick to it, good amount of pork and plenty of noodles and tasty broth. My friend had the Smoke Duck Rame, it was great, the presentation was nice as it literally came out in a dome cover and when they serve it, it unleashes this amazing smelling smoke that infuses into the smoke and gives the ramen a nice flavor. Had to try those spice and salt wings, those were awesome too. Nice crispy outside with great seasoning and juicy meat on the bones. Nice change from the usual wet buffalo wing style I'm used to. The server was really sweet too and made some great suggestions on the beverages. I had the Japanese IPA, that was so good and my friend had their take on the margarita which he said it was great. Swing by and try it out, you won't be disappointed.
The ramen was awesome and the staff was great. I will definitely come back again to try the other ramen and appetizers there
Great ramen ever, great service as well! Definitely come back !
