Came here after I couldn't get into the bar upstairs and loved the vibe. Came in a little late on a Thursday to have a couple of beers and spot was cool. Bartender seemed solid. Gave good beer recommendations and seemed to put real effort into his cocktail process. Highly recommended stopping in and grabbing a pint. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Shakespeare:
Good beer, comfortable bar, average food and convenient central location. I don't particularly like large screen TV's in bars as here (being English I'm used to it to be honest though but at least they had European soccer on. View all feedback.
Hidden gen. Would definitely come back here! Was strolling to find place for dinner, around 9. And found this! Waiters were nice. And food was nice

Victorian restaurant with very convenient location 2 blocks from Bryan Park. First time that I try Scotch Eggs were good. Good music, and service. This is the type of place that you can go with friends to hang out and drinks some beers with good food.
I can honestly say this was the worse meal i ever had out in NY and i eat out a lot. Fish n chips soggy fish with an off taste and soggy tasteless fries (jow can you screw up fries? . The small portions for $30 were irrelevant as it was mostly inedible. Even the soda was flat. Restaurant dimly lit and empty and now i know why. Bartender was nice.
Just down the steps into a bar with great music (80's and 90's rock on a Thursday evening), some Banana Bread beer and some bomb bangers and mash. Good vibes and service.
