The food was great, portions were ok, not as big as in many restaurants around the city, but decent for a food market and the price. The biggest downside there's no seatings at the shop (even though they have the counters) so you'll have to look for a spot to sit down, which can be a hassle.Food: 5/5 View all feedback.
What Jen L doesn't like about Mokbar:
We got the bulgolgi buns and the kimchi fries. Service was quick and kind,The bulgolgi buns were REALLY good. Soft, pillowy, and very fresh. I really loved them. Unfortunately, that's where it ended. The bulgolgi was far too sweet and there was supposed to be a kimchi aioli but you couldn't really taste it. There was a lot of bulgolgi in the buns though so +1 because value. The kimchi fries were not great. While the f... View all feedback.
Super tasty! We had a chicken katzu curry. Very well made with the right amount of spice. No wait time but this can fluctuate as the shop is within Chelsea market. There is no seating area. Standing only (they have a comfortable ledge to put food on). Worth every penny. All dishes are under about $30 and portions are perfect for one person.

DELICIOUS Foods Clearly made by skilled chefs. My son i got a CRAZY good experience from Dani and crew. Im a chef, who always finds faults, but this was 11 out of 10. Thank you guys?
Flavorless chicken Ramen chicken katsu that tasted like they dumped 15 cinnamon sticks in the pot. No seating available either. All in all very disappointing BUT the cashier was very nice.Food: 2/5
I guess the fame of the chef sometimes outshine the quality of the actual food served. We tried three of the noodles and none of them were noteworthy of the hype or fame. The soups were thick but it was just salty mostly. The potstickers were good and the filling were of good quality. However the noodles which supposed to be their main attractions were not that good.Cashier was not very helpful when asked where we can sit, post ordering. There were no tables or chairs for this particular establishment. Every other store had their own tables and chairs.. but they did not. We ended up sitting in front of another restaurant that closed but had a table. It was not a pleasant experience.
