Milk Nyc Flagship - New York City

I ordered the three-cookie deal along with some ice cream. The cookies were prepackaged and stale, lacking any real flavor, which was quite disappointing. The ice cream was decent but still didn't have much flavor to it. Overall, I was not impressed at all.

Kind of insane that 2/3 items were just prepackaged items. Not freshly made. Tasty, but I was expecting fresh. I can buy these at Whole Foods

It seems that some people have formed incorrect expectations about Milk Bar after watching Chef's Table on Netflix. Is Milk Bar an exclusive gourmet patisserie where you need to place orders a year in advance? Not at all. It's a place that serves incredibly delicious sweets and cakes accessible to everyone. I was truly impressed by everything I tried. Was it sweet? Absolutely. And I savored every moment of it.

I typically wouldn't spend $11 on a slice of cake, but this is the exception. It’s definitely on the sweeter side, and occasionally it gives me a slight stomachache, but I think it's worth it! LOL. The Cheetos cake doesn’t have a strong cheese flavor, and I could barely tell the difference between it and the regular cake, but it was still delicious because all the cakes are pretty amazing.

I'm honestly quite disappointed with Milk Bar. I've been eager to visit ever since I watched the Chef's Table episode featuring Christina Tosi. We tried their cake truffles (red velvet and birthday), the Milk Bar pie, and a cookie. Everything was just overly sweet to the point that I could only manage a couple of bites before calling it quits. I ended up throwing away half of what I purchased. The cornflake soft serve was decent, but the ice cream didn't have a strong corn flavor to it.
