Holey Cream - New York City

I absolutely love this place! The donut ice cream sandwich is incredible, and they offer some of the best ice cream flavors around.

The sundae was incredible and a fantastic value, but the milkshake was disappointing—it wasn't thick and was below average, with an icy consistency at the bottom.

I wasn't very impressed with the Donut Ice Cream Sandwich. The chocolate stuck to the lid, and the donuts tasted like ordinary donuts with very few M&Ms. The ice cream was decent, but nothing special.

Look, not saying the place was a disaster, it was passable. BUT, it’s not anything at all in any way special. We walked a long ways after dinner based on inaccurate pics and “great” reviews. There are so many places so much better than Holey Cream we walked by to get here. It’s worn and a bit dirty inside and a total mess outside (it was garbage pick up night in their defense) including gum, filthy seating, and spilt ice cream since opening day apparently. The staff was polite but indifferent, milkshakes where the worst, the donut ice cream sandwich/s where the draw and the concept is solid and unique but this place doesn’t capitalize and ultimately let’s you down. Skip desert and hit the gym in the morning if this is your only choice.

Creamy smooth ice cream. And they stay open til around 1am.Shakes aren’t better than some other places, but they do have many more flavors to choose from!!
