Short Summary:Positive: tasty burgers, pretty interiorNegative: terrible service, very low lighting (hard to read menu), do not ask for how the meat should be cooked,Long explanation:Hall was on our must try list for quite some time so we finally checked it out a few days ago. Unfortunately, the experience was pretty underwhelming due to the service.We were the only customers and sat at the bar. The bartender did not even try to make us feel welcome at all and pretty much ignored us after we’ve ordered. We first thought he had a bad day, but when other staff passed him he cheered up and was a different person as long as they were around.We did not feel welcome at all. In a place where you pay over $20 for a cocktail, we expected good service especially at the bar.The food was good (we had the classic burgers) even though they do not ask how you want the meat cooked. My boyfriend’s meat was cooked medium and mine was medium well done (and I prefer medium rare).There are great places to get burgers in the area, so we won’t be back to Hall.

Best burger in nyc at a great price. The bartender is a cool guy. The atmosphere is dark and moody. Love this place too much.

Great bartenders and staff. The wagu burgers are the best!revisiting my review after a few years: different bartender, same great food and vibe.

A gem! Found this tiny bar after going to Photographiska museum and this place is amazing. Small, cozy, great drinks and if you’re hungry you can also try to get a table on the Japanese restaurant that is exactly at the same place.
