We didn't know what we were getting ourselves into, but what a fun dinner! Your servers are your entertainment making for a divine dining experience. We went on a weekend night. The wait outside was about 45 minutes. Once seated inside we were greeted and given menus by our server who was also up next to perform. There was a slight delay in ordering but we didn't feel slighted because we were enjoying the ambiance. T... View all feedback.
What Lisa Bahringer doesn't like about Ellens Stardust Diner:
I just walked in because it was a cold winter day and needed suppe. the chicken matzo ball suppe was good and the sweet was fresh. the entertainment was upstairs. the coworkers sing yes and had to pronounce for their jobs. they have attempted to move on a few meters and block on the great white way outside the diner. I personally wish them all good at their efforts. (be a good sport and tap it beautiful.) if you want... View all feedback.

If you are looking for Broadway qualitysing without coughing the money for a show, Ellens Stardust Diner is a must. Even you eat while...
The children came here and had a good time. We're in line around 10 and about 40 minutes later. The singing waiters are very impressive and many go on...
If I lived in NY I would be here as often a possible. The talent is outstanding! Such a fun atmosphere. The food and drinks are just ok but good enough to enjoy and keep a table occupied so that we could sit for hours. I like the mix of music, the way each performer picks their own and I loved all the duets and group fun. I was sad to be seated upstairs and away on our first night but quickly realized the performers are everywhere and they make sure to post to every single person. So fun!
Ellen’s Stardust Diner has been on my NYC bucket list for years, and I finally had the chance to visit last night! We were a bit worried when we saw the long line wrapped around the corner, but it was only 5:30pm and figured we would take the chance. I was honestly impressed at how quickly the lined moved it was only about a 40 min wait, and the staff was great at going down the line and asking for party sizes to get people in as quickly as possible. It was a hot day, and unfortunately the air conditioning was not working, so it was pretty stuffy in the diner. It was tough to find something appealing on the menu because the thought of hot, heavy food wasn’t exactly what I wanted. I landed on a corned beef sandwich and my mom chose the Reuben. We came in with low expectations for the food, expecting it to be more about the experience, but it really wasn’t bad! I had a great milkshake too, and my mom enjoyed her egg cream. The wait staff was so talented with every song they sang, and it was like a constant party. Our small table was very close to the parties next to us, and the wait staff was often dancing on the booth right behind me, so as long as you’re comfortable with that, you’ll have a great time! It really was a unique experience that I’m glad I did, especially because my mom and I really enjoy Broadway.
