Great place if you are on the hunt for fried chicken. For sure the best I’ve ever had. Even the S size serving is enough for one person. Another recommendation are the seasoned fries. Nothing short of world class! We also tried the fried rice: Believe it or not, it’s great too.If you walk by in the evening hours: the shop looks very dark from the outside. We first thought that it would be closed. But don’t worry, just... View all feedback.
What Erika S doesn't like about Bonchon Chicken Nyc 32nd St.:
If you are looking for authentic (or even tasty) Korean fried chicken, this is not the place to go. The chicken was very dry and it tasted like chicken tenders/nuggets with a hint of soy garlic flavoring. You get one small container of pickled radish but no free refills or complimentary kimchi (which is very common in Korean restaurants and Korean fried chicken places). It was very expensive for low quality food and... View all feedback.
This is one of my husband's favorite spots, and we often visit to enjoy their wings. The wings have a perfect crispy exterior while remaining tender on the inside. The spicy sauce is quite hot, but we also ordered the sweet garlic sauce to balance it out. The atmosphere is fantastic, and the music is lively. It's a great place to indulge in some delicious fried chicken wings.
The wings at this place were fantastic! They were crispy, and the seasoning was just right. We also ordered the bulgogi plate; the rice was average, and the vegetables and bulgogi could have used a bit more seasoning. However, the bulgogi was cooked perfectly. Overall, the service was good.
I had a strong craving for fried chicken, so I searched for the best options in NYC. This place appeared on several lists and was the closest to me. However, finding it was a bit of a challenge due to nearby construction, which obscured the entrance and sign. The service was decent, though I had some trouble communicating in English with the staff. I ordered a single serving of fried chicken, with half coated in sweet soy garlic sauce and half in spicy sauce, along with a side of kimchi coleslaw. Without a doubt, this is the best Korean Fried Chicken I've ever had. It was perfectly crispy, generously coated in sauce, and the meat was juicy, tender, and well-seasoned. Both sauces were delicious. The kimchi coleslaw provided a nice twist on the usual side options, making for a refreshing change.
Mmmmm....soy garlic chicken drumsticks! Kim Chi coleslaw! My taste buds and head were swooning in foodgasm over this crispy delight!<br/ <br/ I don't give a damn what anyone else has to say about this Bon Chon location. Really, I don't. Just stop, please, stop your whining.<br/ <br/ I did not have any problems with the service when I dropped by here for a late lunch today. In fact, everyone was quite nice, attentive, and my food came out quickly. <br/ <br/ I didn't use no stinking Groupon or Living Social deal or any dang coupons. Sometimes you have to just suck it up and pay the real price. Wahhhh they did not want to accept by coupon. Wahhhh. Oh, just shut up already before I beat you with a chicken bone!<br/ <br/ Yes, it's a few dollars cheaper if you get it to take out. Great if you want to eat it at your desk at work, and it's cold and soggy by the time you get back to your office. For my first experience eating Bon Chon I wanted the full fresh out of the kitchen hot, fried, and crispy meal of drool inducing tastiness. Worth it to sit there and take my time with each delicious crackling bite.<br/ <br/ Word of advice skip the wings and go right to the drumsticks. I noticed a few people eating close by and it just seemed that with the drumsticks there is more meat to the bone, and they are big. I ordered a medium plate of five Soy Garlic Sauce drumsticks, a side of Kim Chi coleslaw, along with a Fanta orange soda to wash it down. Hey, I have to watch my figure!<br/ <br/ The drumsticks were just ridiculously flavorful and crispy. My breath will melt steel for the rest of the afternoon, so I hope no one comes near me. Loved it! The coleslaw had a spicy tang to it that was oddly addicting and I almost wanted to drink the remaining sauce out of the bowl. Free refills on soda yes please! Punch card with $10 off a purchase after five visits heck yeah!<br/ <br/ The only thing that holds me back from giving it five stars is the cost. Before tip the check was about $20. It is a bit pricey for what it is, and will only be a spot I hit up for an unhealthy lunch meal when in a splurging mood. Plus, I liked the music they were playing today. A mix of old school jams, rap, and top 40 dance/club hits that you used to hear at Webster Hall back in the day. Also, they offer a decent selection of beers and specialty cocktails too. <br/ <br/ I might have to sneak in here once in a while for a pre dinner snack before going home for dinner!
Ok people, **** just got real! Triple fried chicken sounds horrible? But it's absolutely not! I've tried fried chicken in some parts of the world but nothing compares to what they serve at Bonchon chicken. It's a cute little Korean place very near Times Square and let me just say, I was in heaven.Ok so the place is literally full of grease, not kidding. You might slip and fall if you don't watch your step since the floors are so greasy. But trust me! The chicken is totally worth it. They serve the normal as well as hot sauce accompanied by a radish salad and coleslaw. If you love fried chicken and if you, like me take your chicken very seriously This is the place!!!
