Really like this coffee shop that a friend of mine introduced me to. I am not an expert in coffee but coffee shops like this definitely make coffee that have a different unique taste to it compared to your other typical franchises. It's also a great place to grab a light brunch and have small talks with your friends as well as doing any work or studying. The one around Astor Pl. is particularly quiet and not busy whe... What Michael W doesn't like about Bluestone Lane Astor Place Coffee Shop:
Please do not go here if you are from Australia, coffee feral with burnt milk, hot choc tastes like dirt! They don’t have sugar so they offer simple syrup in hot drinks! Only Aussie thing was the Vegemite but even then they didn’t provide butter ! You have to spread this yourself and of course the bread is cold at this point and the butter hasn’t melted! Staff had no clue at all what was going on with some chick sitt... View all feedback.
Good pastries, decent coffees, but the place has surprisingly few seats. Their entire upper floor is employees only for some reason, and the free WiFi is obnoxious in how much data they want to collect about you. The amount of natural light is nice.
Travis and IZZY was my favorite makeup my drink. Thank you for everyone hard-working nice friendly people. You all the BEST
This can be a crowded spot during rush hour, but the wait is worth it. I’ve been to NYC 3 times in the last 3 years and always made sure I grabbed some cappuccino from here, even if I were to start my day in Soho. I did feel the croissant was a bit dry, but other than that I’d strongly recommend this place.
Great menu! Great vibes this place has cold Milo! an absolute dream for an Aussie in NYC! Will be back.
I’m sad to say Bluestone Lane seems to have declined. The food is generic prefab. They don’t have proper crockery for dining in (maybe that’s a COVID after effect). The long black is merely a strong Americano, not Australian-normal. The multigrain bread (vegemite on toast) was ok but supermarket style. At least the service at Astor Place was consistently very good over several visits.
